⚽ U13 Girls Football vs William de Ferrers ⚽ Our U13 girls played their first game together as a team and were absolutely fantastic, especially considering we were mainly competing against players a year older than them! The match was a great experience for everyone involved, with the girls showing determination, teamwork and plenty of promise for the season ahead. This is shaping up to be a very successful team for Notley, and we can't wait for more fixtures to come. 🏆 Player of the Match: Poppy Poppy was outstanding throughout the game, making some brilliant runs up front, scoring a fantastic goal, and demonstrating excellent leadership on the pitch. 🏐 Year 11 District Netball Tournament 🏐 🥈 District Netball Runners-Up! Our Year 11 netball team delivered an outstanding performance at the District Netball Tournament, narrowly missing out on the championship title by just one goal. The girls played exceptionally well throughout the competition, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and resilience against strong opposition. They should be incredibly proud of their achievement and the way they represented Notley High School. 🏆 Player of the Tournament: Nancy Nancy was recognised for her excellent defensive play and outstanding leadership, captaining the team brilliantly throughout the tournament. Notley Template Slideshow 2025 1 (33).mp4Year 7 Hyde Hall Trip On Tuesday 22nd September a group of year 7 students visited RHS Hyde Hall in Chelmsford to take part in a 'Get Growing' workshop. We were shown around some of the beautiful gardens spotting interesting plants and trees, as well as some of the sculptures in the LEGO trail. We learnt about some common herbs such as lavender, chives, mint and sage using a pestle and mortar to crush and release the scents. We learnt that safe can be used to relieve a sore throat, curry helps heal wounds and basil stops flatulence! We then each created a pumpkin artwork using only natural materials we found on the ground during a tour of some of the displays: the dry garden, rose garden, herbaceous border, global growth vegetable garden, and floral fantasia. We gathered a very colourful collection of petals, flowers, leaves, feathers and seeds and each created very different artworks. After lunch we learnt how to make environmentally friendly plant pots with paper and a basket by recycling a plastic milk bottle. We filled with pots with compost, chose and then planted some herb seeds to take home and look after. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and were a credit to the school, demonstrating enthusiasm, creativity and outstanding behaviour throughout. We are very proud of them! 4 Likes
U16 Felsted Netball Tournament The girls put in a fantastic performance, playing some excellent netball against strong teams from schools. A special congratulations to Nevaeh, who was named Teachers' Player of the Tournament for her outstanding defensive play and brilliant communication on court.
